As soon as we planned out roadtrip to Joshua Tree, I knew I HAD to book some shoots out there! I've drooled over wedding and engagement photos in J Tree for so long (most notably, anything by Ben Sasso), I'm so glad we were able to shoot not only one, but two couples during our short visit. We met up with Randy and Ashley (of Randy and Ashley Studios) just a half our after we first entered the park, so their whole shoot was filled with "I can't believe we're here!" "this place is amazing" "these trees are SO WEIRD" "its way colder than I expected" "LOOK AT THIS PLACE" and other such observations! I love how the annoying-at-the-time wind played out in the photos, and I'm totally obsessed with the moody skies we had (it rained as we packed up). Randy and Ashley were such a fun couple to explore with. Their love was so tangible! And they were willing to climb anywhere I asked them to, despite crazy windy and sometimes sketchy rocks...my kind of client! This couldn't have been a more perfect introduction to Joshua Tree.
