danielle + andrew // the woodlands, texas wedding

When Danielle's mom first contacted me almost a year ago to hide out and shoot Andrew's proposal, I had no idea what I was getting myself into (and I mean that in the BEST way possible). I had known her and her family before from church, but I certainly did not forsee how much this family and this amazing couple would love us, reach out to us, and fully engulf us throughout this past year. Each lunch date, grocery store parking lot meet-up, run-in at church, text exchange and all the in-between left me feeling encouraged and so excited for their wedding day.

At their rehearsal dinner, we quickly learned that this is just how the Rogers (and the Smiths!) are. They love people really really well. In fact, as person after person stood up to toast, the common theme was Danielle's ablility to skip small talk and make a three hour conversation feel like five minutes, and Andrew's unyielding love for the Lord and for his now WIFE. We found ourselves sitting in the car after their rehearsal dinner feeling so thankful to have been a part of such a special evening and so thankful to get to play such an intimate role in their wedding day.

There are a lot of things to remember about your own wedding day, from gorgeous flowers to delicious food (and MAN that food was delicious!!), but I'm certain the thing Danielle and Andrew will remember most was the huge outpouring of love they received from their community. From the bridesmaid's prayers over Danielle moments before walking down the aisle, to the dear friends Facetiming the ceremony all the way from China (technology is amazing y'all), to her father's loving and tearful speech at the reception (let's be honest, there wasn't a dry eye in the room), Danielle and Andrew are so clearly loved by everyone that has known them. It's moments like this that Callen and I are floored by how amazing our job is! As you look through these gorgeous photos (can I get a HALLELUJAH for perfect flower crowns?), know that this couple is a picture of real love. Although I probably don't even need to say that because when you see the way Andrew looked at Danielle as she walked down the aisle, you'll KNOW.
